The Cherry Hill Story

Happy 2nd day of fall, !

It’s the first weekend of fall and it looks like it’s going to be great to get out and enjoy the fall weather!

As I mentioned last week, Harbourfront’s brand and logo has evolved and I shared some of the backstory and what the represents in my video (if you missed it, check it out here). I was able to give a little teaser of our updated logo, but it wasn’t approved yet, so I wasn’t able to share too much.

I have shared with some of you the story of the Cherry Hill name, but haven’t really discussed the thought process behind the logo. It’s amazing how much work and thought goes into designing a logo that looks good and represents you, your team, and the people who work with you. A huge thank you to Rich at TPL Studio for all the amazing work he did to get us here (check out his instagram here to see all his amazing work)! Here’s a little bit about how we came up with the logo!

It was very important for us to choose a logo that represented who we are as a company, individuals, and highlight some of the traits we see in our clients.

When you look at the logo you can see the two hills and a blue sky. The hills represent overcoming challenges, fortitude, and achievement. When we break down the two hills, one is green, while the other is yellow. The green hill represents wealth and prosperity, but also our culture around nature, growth and the environment. The yellow hill is a reflection of happiness and positivity as well as clarity and knowledge. Finally, the blue sky represents the limitless possibilities and freedom.

As we build our wealth we come across challenges that must be overcome. Like any hill, there is an upslope, a peak, and a downslope. Keeping a positive mindset, while learning, clarifying, and obtaining knowledge will help navigate the sometimes difficult uphill challenges. At Cherry Hill, the possibilities and freedom to create prosperity and happiness is our journey.

Have a great weekend,

Trevor

PS. For those of you that don’t know, the name Cherry Hill comes from a small area close to my home in Burlington that my family and I love to visit. When we first moved to Burlington, this was an area that we would go to often and really felt at peace with our new city and our decision to make the big move.
